The technique for candids as you describe is to get in close, set the lens manually to the hyperfocal distance and leave it there.
No focussing beats AF for speed by a wide margin!
The only problem I find is getting a soaking wet back from sweat when walking or cycling far.
When walking you can carry it by the handle for a bit while your back dries off but it's best to be careful about putting it on the back rack of a bicycle for the same purpose. The road vibration can quickly loosen the tiny screws that hold the equipment together - especially vulnerable are the lens bayonet mounts.
The Samsung is totally different with a smaller screen as well.

This extract from the GX20 EXIF might be of interest:
PentaxVersion : 4.1.2.0
PentaxModelID : Samsung GX20
It would seem that Pentax themselves regard the GXs as a Pentax.
In the not so great days of the British car industry, this was known as badge engineering.

I tried to put it in joke tags but the forum won't let you use faux tags.
I can't imagine feeling persecuted because of the brand of camera I use so I assumed the conspiracy theorists were joking too.
Sorry again, no more light heartedness here.

GPS is used to geotag an image with the exact location from where it was taken.

Truth is, it may or may not be. If you read the tests on Pentax primes, sometimes they are good, sometimes they are not.
In practical, rather than testing, use, you wouldn't expect to see much difference. A computer screen is inherently low resolution and since most people don't make large prints, they won't look much different either.
If you photograph a flat surface with the lenses wide open and view the extreme corners at 100% any differences will show up.
It's entertaining to do but tells you little about a lens in day to day use.
If you can't see any difference, just use whichever lens you prefer the feel of - a perfect situation to be in, really.

An advantage for the female is that she won't sweat as I described - merely glow a little
