If you have the original CD then there is no problem in re-installing on a replacement PC. You will just need the "key" which can be extracted from the original install. Even without the CD you can find a download of the files - just reuse your key.
it was already pre installed and there never been a key. kvx wrote:

Am i doing the right thing in getting the K30? People are suggesting i get the K5 over the K30 but TBH there doesn't seem much in it. i know the K5 has a few better thing than the K30 but im not a pro i don't have loads and loads of spare cash and more cash i spend on a body less towards a decent 3/400mm lens

The K30 was good enough when i decided that was the camera i wanna get. it was either a secondhand K5 or K30. i cant see much difference for me between K30 over K50.kvx wrote:
Come on Pentax please say something about this. I really want to get a K30 but don't wanna keep waiting.
When a new model is launched, the previous model can often be found for a very good price for a short time - If that model (the K30) suits your needs and you don't require all the very latest "all singing, all dancing" features, then it's a great time to buy Come on Pentax please say something about this. I really want to get a K30 but don't wanna keep waiting.
I'm having trouble waiting but i know if this is all true then i should be able to save myself a few quid. I nearly brought the K30 Wednesday but then i saw this and thought id wait even if the money saved is put towards a old decent manual lens i still win.
I assume stuff like this has happened before any idea how long the wait was before the official announcement happened?

Knowing Adobe, they've dropped the price on PSE and bundled it with Premiere Elements to clear existing stocks, then in about 2-3 months' time, they will launch version 12 on us! Mind you, at £40-odd quid, bite their hand off for it!!
