Programs don't transfer like that, you would need the CD.
The alternative is to plug another screen into your laptop. Otherwise, Elements is fairly low cost and an updated version might be a good idea?

Photoshop Elements for images.
If you have the original CD then there is no problem in re-installing on a replacement PC. You will just need the "key" which can be extracted from the original install. Even without the CD you can find a download of the files - just reuse your key.

There will (should) be a key even for pre-installs. There should also be a set of "back-up" files on the PC somewhere which will allow a re-install in case of corruption so find thise and you should be OK.
Download Belarc Advisor and run that. It will find keys for most applications.
Have just seen the link in Leads To Deals - it is a combined Photoshop and Premiere so £47 is a reasonable price, and £43 for Photoshop is good too.

Knowing Adobe, they've dropped the price on PSE and bundled it with Premiere Elements to clear existing stocks, then in about 2-3 months' time, they will launch version 12 on us! Mind you, at £40-odd quid, bite their hand off for it!!

I've never used Premiere Elements (I use Nero for my video editing needs), but Adobe prides itself on "user-friendliness", so I think you will enjoy using it.
