Which is the recommended flash for the Pentax MX camera?

I just wanted to praise this company. They do actually carry out the work specified, unlike some others who just take the money!

I have noticed that sometimes my MX doesn't fully wind on and some frames are butted-up tight to eachother without the small gap between frames. What do I need to tighten-up/adjust to correct this?

This is a little bit difficult to explain without pictures!
Inside the back cover of my MX, in the right hand side of the top groove (where the cover and case snap together) there is a small spring-type bit of metal protruding (brass coloured). I have proded it and it seems quite secure, not like it's about to snap off or fall out. And the back cover does close properly with no light-leaks. Just wanted to know if this thing is meant to be there or not!!
