On my lighting adventure I have decided to purchase an umbrella and stand.

I am a bit unsure as to what exactly I'll need. I understand what type of umbrella I'd want, thats the type that you can shoot through or reflect, with the removable black.

What I'm not sure on is the stand, or what combo to get. As I'm using the V4's I need a stand that can hold the umbrella but has a screw for the flash and not the hot shoe adapter.

Is this making sense? If anyone could point me in the right direction, or to a kit, that'd be great! Thank you.

Here's my shot at a couple of portrait shots.

I had the AF-360FGZ 45 degrees camera left.

Builders light bounced from wall camera right.

And direct builders light from behind at 45 degrees.

Comments andtips welcome please!

Yeah. I had the beta installed on a new partition. Worked fine.

I just straight out installed this version (backed up vista first though just in case). Needed a reinstall anyway!

The set up did still work, but only up to a tv value of 180. Is that normal?
