Thanks for the replies so far.
It wan't Tekno that I was thinking of.
I remember that one or two members were waiting for deliveries at the time (July/Aug 200 and were panicking but eventually received their order or refund. I believe the company was UK based doing internet business (no shops).
Tekno.
Don't they know this on the Nikon forums?
I switched back to the Pentax and bought the K-7 last November and very pleased. Just seems that Pentax cameras and lenses are so much cheaper than Canon, Nikon, Sony yet of a high quality giving great images just like on my old *ist DL used to.

Can anyone remember?
There was an online photographic stores which disappeared or went bust in 2008 or 2009, can anyone remember their name? I think their name began with a 'T' but not 100$
I remember I was here when it was mentioned in a thread that they had gone. (hence this post)
Thanks in advance

and don't forget, you can still use M42 and K mount glass via an adaptor in stop down mode, in case you should feel the need for SMC.
have fun with the new toys
Will bare it in mind.
Good luck with your new kit and enjoy, (I'll be joining you if Pentax don't fix my K20D)
If only I realised how good my copy of the *ist DL was before I upgraded to the K10D. Oh well that's all history now.
You can still visit you know - we will still talk to you!
Regards
Stephen

I have learnt a lot in the past year, hence my name lol.
I am really pleased with the new kit but still need to save up for another lens or two but prices are so expensive at the moment (exchange rate).
I've enjoyed my time here and have taken on board some great advise.
I still regret selling my *ist DL, such a great camera with some great results. Some of those results are even better then the Canon 5D mark II but it's still early days. FF is something else, losing the 1.6 APS really suits my needs.
Thanks again

I've not been around for a little while and maybe it's time to say good-bye.
As some of you will remember, back in May/June last year I had to sell my Pentax kit to help pay for an unexpected bill.
Well the Pentax kit sold without any problems and at the prices which I advertised (old news from last year).
I have also been busy building funds to buy my new camera and lenses.
My luck changed for a short while and my funds built up quite well, better than I anticipated.
Unfortunately (in respect for this forum) but fortunately for myself I have jumped ship.
After much thought and alot of "do I or don't I" I've actually (earlier this year) bought a full frame camera and pro lenses, all new.
I actually bought a Canon 5D mark II camera and (separately) bought a 24-105mm f/4 L lens, a 200mm f/2.8 L prime lens and a 100mm f/2.8 macro lens plus bag, filters etc...
So I would like to say a big thank you to the members who have given me some great advise.
Hopefully I will pop in from time to time but for now I will say good-bye and thanks.
Good luck

...... and then someone decided they didn't like an item. Unfortunately, instead of just letting me know they decided to open a PayPal dispute.
Have you contacted this buyer and asked why?
Having 0 feedback and claiming a dispute sets alarm bells ringing to me.
If he/she is new then finding the dispute bit is somewhat tricky, it was for me. Seems they know there way around.
You have their address and can get their phone number from eBay
To request a person’s contact information:
Click the “Advanced Search” link, located under the Search button in the top right corner of most eBay pages.
Under the Members section on the left side of the page, click the “Find Contact Information” link and follow the instructions.

Would it be fair if the carpet store was doing a half-price clearance sale and I decided to re-carpet the entire house or should I just re-carpet just one room? (just to give someone else a chance)
I saw a clearance price and grabbed it.
Am I greedy or just an opportunist ?
Most people can work overtime for extra cash, unfortunately I have a disability which prevents me from working. Would I rather be fit and working? You bet I would. As a former area sales manager I miss my £25-30k earnings + company car + other perks and adjusting to just over £5k a year isn't easy with no room for luxuries like holidays, dinners out, trips to the cinema etc.. so a little enterprise helps.
I buy a few things and I sell a few things. I spend £1 a week on a lottery ticket.
