Thanks lidy, i agree about the glass. the only problem is the flowers have really short stems, only about 4 inches, so finding a vessel to hold them was the problem.
Maybe try using a clamp of some kind instead.

Dave, front crocus is SUPPOSED to be the main focal point~!
Andrew, the daff just wouldnt stay where i wanted it to, should have moved the glass around.
John, sorry about the duplictate, couldnt get photo on first post. I like the yellow, but the glass isnt good. Must do better.

What fantastic photos! I know the lens doesn't make the photographer, but im sure it gives a head start. You must live in a beautiful spot, im sure my only subjects will be bluebottles and daffodils
How much would you pay s/h for this lens? Dont want to miss it, but dont want to pay over the odds either, would rather save for a new one. Have spent more time reading books, and buying lenses than taking photos, but will post a few here for all your expert opinions in the next few weeks.

Just realised that the lens i was looking at was the 2.5 and not the 2.8, hence the cheap (so far) price, but if it is good enough for DrOrloff, then its good enough for me Got my 50mm today, cant wait to go home and play with it, still waiting on my 70-300mm.

Hi all, has anyone got around the problem of having to stand in front of camera to use remote control. saw an ad in flickr for a mirror from US which is supposed to allow you to operate from behind the camera, but has anybody tried this, or something similar? thanks in advance.
