Keeping the 77mm as there was not so much interest in it!
Never mind it's not that it's not a great Lens or anything now is it
Mods could you delete this thread now?

Hmm the WR is losing it's appeal! I'm fairly broke at the mo and it seems all three of the Lenses we've discussed share exellent image quality!
So leaving aside (If I can!) the lovely WR, lets discuss the pro's and cons of the Tamron and the DFA?
I now may have a chance of a Tamron at the same price point as the Curry's DFA, now the Tamron's got a focus limiter too but I believe the DFA has quickshift?
But which is Best?
There's only one way to find out?

The optics are the same.
The new one does have the SP coating an extra protective coating.
It also have rounded aperture blades making those bright blobs in the back ground look rounder.
So they are optically the same? Therefore the only difference betweeen the two is the build?
Hmm the older one is much cheaper...

Don't mind the chat guys, not one bit
I'll see if I can nip across to Newcastle and try a Sigma, there's a Jacobs there and they do Tamron Sigma and pentax, so I'll try the two they'll have! (Because the Law of sod dictates that they won't have one of em!:lol

I am seriously wondering if I wouldn't just be better off stumping up for the Pentax because the colour and overall look of the results would be similar to my 15/21/40/77 Ltd and 200DA*?
Or do the results from the Tamron/Sigma's look Similar as well:
