Still the best looking K imho, what a bargain! Pleased it's gone because I was sorely tempted, actually it was the first time in my life I was able to resist!

Used it when I had a K3 the noise reduction part of it was incredible, best I've seen from any software application to be honest! It's still very clunky and PC resource munching but the results given time and some experience are stunning, On the plus side your unlikely to need the noise reduction quite so much with a K1 but I bet those RAW files will take a bit of chewing thru...

The one I had on my K3 was great, sold it on to someone from this forum and they were equally impressed, it works and you could buy a plastic fantastic fifty with the change.. If you wanted to that is!

Lots of "Pentax, why bother posts", it doesn't matter if Pentax/Ricoh isn't No1 in camera sales as long as they make enough for the parent company to want to keep doing it, which they do.

Oh the Cynicism!

Well tihs time my move is one for financial gain, pure and simple. I'm officially stepping out of the Megapixel race for a system that works well for me and is making me money!
Even my Pentax kit was becoming tooo heavy for me to carry up into the fells and that was the final deciding factor, the only way of me seeing myself coming back is if I ever have enough money to afford two systems and a 4x4 to put all the gear in!
Or Pentax make a super light mirrorless that is not a stylised brick without the styling, like I say, never say never but my commercial stuff is on the up and my move away reflects that...
In the end there was no point in me having a K3 that just sat in the cupboard, I very nearly went for a double K-S2 setup but the twelve bit files just aren'tt malleable enough for my work.
I'm sure there will be some more cocky wisecracks but hey ho, thats
