I think Megs and Gigs are being used interchangeably here but We know what they all meant!

I'm after getting a lot of these "light beam" type shots and I'd be interested in your processing here, as these look pretty darn good to me."

"Nothing out of the ordinary Jules. I was lucky in that particular location yesterday as the sun was perfectly positioned to keep dipping in and out of the clouds skimming the fell tops and the light beams were very pronounced. I always process in Adobe Camera RAW first (exposure, fill light, clarity and sometimes a tiny bit of sharpening) before finishing in Photoshop, some dodging and burning, raise up the shadows a little, then contrast and sharpening."

Are you using the new Camera RAW 8.3 David?
Does it have any issues with the multi white balance feature on the K3???
I haven't tried that yet and I was hoping to but only if Adobe has caught up!

If you include sky then the degree of polarisation changes acroos the field, so there will be a marked gradation in the blue.

Wide angles tend to vignette slightly anyway, leading to a darkening of the corners of an image, so in general I don't used polarisers on wide angle lenses. Not for landscapes anyway.
Good advice that, I eventually stopped using polarisers because of this but then I'm terribly forgetful and didn't always check!
The wider end of your zoom will be most prone as John points out and it's not always easy to see in the viewfinder but far easier on the rear LCD, you can get away with it as long as you go for a minimal effect on extreme wide angles of your zoom, it differs for every lens of course, just saying to watch out for it, my own lack of care ruined many a potential good shot I'm afraid...

After the last day of shooting with my original K5 Mk1(Classic) in 2011, I moved to a Camera which used Compact Flash Cards, I never really bothered to look at what I shot on that last day and bunged the SD in a drawer in the office.
Now being back with Pentax () and strapped as usual, I need another SD card to fill the void in my K3 (2 slots and no FLU-Cards until March!:shock. So I dug the one out of the drawer and was about to Format it when I noticed there was data on it, so I fired up Light-room and had a look and found this!

There isn't much to go awry in the little Limited's, they are tight on the lens flange to the body don't seem to suffer from water ingress there at all, not sealed but probably have little need of it. there's not much going on electronically forward of the lens mount, so not really a problem, they are very accurately machined to high tolerance levels, personally I've used them in all sorts of weather (I live near the Lake District, where you can only tell it's summer because the rain is warm!:shock. If it did fail due to water ingress you'd be on your own as far as Ricoh/Pentax are concerned however, because as they are not sealed they are not rated as such...
