Similar story here. I wanted to move to FF and some of the things I wanted only come with mirrorless. I still have my K-3 though, along with 15mm, 35mm and 70mm DA Limiteds and a few other AF lenses and LOTS of MF lenses. I still shoot the K-3 sometimes, shoot Pentax for film and use MF lenses adapted to my mirrorless.

I suggest adding if it's the manual focus or autofocus version. I will add that the "perfect hood" can be hard to come by so it's a bonus it's included for whoever buys.

Very nice results. I don't have this lens but I do have a Pentacon Auto 50mm f/1.8 which can focus closer than the vast majority of 50mm lenses, making it handy for close-ups and giving the possibility of some crazy bokeh and shallow DoF at minimum focus distance.

I'm adding this as I think it's the cheapest K1 I've seen for sale.

Waterproof cameras never have the best IQ unfortunately. They serve to provide memories of people and events but are not for creativity or art.

Kit zooms sell for ridiculous prices when bought new. Either buy as part of a kit or buy used - many people get rid of their kit zooms as they have better lenses and will never use it, so they're brand new. I sold my mark II 18-55mm and bought a used WR version for my K200D before I went on my honeymoon to Cambodia & Vietnam in 2011. I think I paid £35 for the WR lens.

Years later I got a 16-85mm and 20-40mm as WR options but now I'm back to that 18-55mm for WR on my K-3.
