It may be a "good price" to you but it's only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it.
Everyone's an expert

And sold subject to payment .. thanks for looking.

Must admit I came downstairs thinking I would keep it .. I received a K-mount to Eos adapter yesterday and the lens works very well on the 50D (even if it is fully manual)
But if you want it as fully manual you may as well use an M version. FYI, I paid 165GBP this year (on the forum) for an FA version in excellent condition, so I think the price was ok. The F version is maybe worth less as it's uglier than the FA, but the optics are the same.

Without OS they cannot hope to sell any of these at that price, given that the Tamron version costs around 200GBP less. I wish Sigma would offer all their lenses without OS for Pentax & Sony, but without the 30-40% premium that OS usually adds to the price.

I use this system and have had no problems with it:

Avoid cables, they're far less convenient than wireless and usually more expensive.

Sounds like you got a great deal on a well-regarded lens. If you don't want it then sell it on at a profit.

I'm not a big fan of dog shots, but that one's really good, I like it.

I just got the Ultimate edition of this software & haven't been able to find opinions on how good the noise reduction is? As a K200D user, high ISO is a difficult area for me, though it's handily forcing me to learn to use bounce flash.

I didn't get it for the noise reduction, but it would be a bonus if it's decent. I don't want to splash out again for an add-on such as Topaz DeNoise, which would cost more than the Corel did.

Many thanks

I use mainly 4gb cards (I have around 7, all Sandisk or Panasonic) but I got a 16gb one for my honeymoon to avoid running out of space.

You might want to consider a WR lens. The 18-55 can be had cheap, unboxed from SRS. If your backpack does not have a built-in rain cover then you should buy one from an outdoors shop, just in case.

A tripod is useful in rural areas, less so in crowded cities, but IŽd recommend one, especially if youŽre going with someone else & want photos together.
