Only really of interest if they knock off a couple of hundred by buying the two things together. I suspect the 20-40mm and a K-3 III (either type) would be a very nice combination.

For anyone interested, I'm pretty sure that Auto Chinon 50/1.7 is the same as my Auto Revuenon 50/1.7 and it's an excellent lens.

I don't use anything very long (more than 200mm) because I don't really have anything - newer lenses are too cheap to be good or too expensive for my pockets and vintage lenses at long focal lengths tend to be poor too.

And until quite recently in my photographic progression I never used ultra-wides but now that I have a few options available I'm finding them quite useful.

50mm and 35mm are certainly my most used FLs though, and their equivalents on APS-C. There's nothing more useful or flexible than a fast fifty.

Just collected an FA50/1.4 Classic, so apologies if that immediately invokes Sod's Law and brings a load of miserable weather given a major reason to choose this particular lens is the interesting things it does with rainbow flares!
As in the new one that's marketed as "classic" because it has lots of flare wide open and old coatings? Or the bog standard FA that's been around for thirty years?

The K 135/2.5 is one of the very best vintage lenses I've ever used and this is a good price for it, I'm surprised no-one's grabbed it already.

I don't have mine to hand but I think you can set it to flash blown areas in live view and also on the taken picture when displaying just after taking using the viewfinder.

My K 24mm f/2.8 turned up this morning and apart from missing the little oval factory sticker it looks brand new. The focus is a little stiffer than ideal but not so much it'll be a problem and I don't see any signs of element separation.

I stuck it on my K2DMD for a quick camera p0rn shot

I have boxes full of accessories which I've picked up over the years and the vast majority never get any use at all. That's except for necessities like a rocket blower, lens pen and hoods of course. Apart from that, I use my M42 --> K adapter quite a lot. I have a bunch of filters that I really should bother to use, especially the CPLs. I got some black mist filters at christmas and two months later I haven't even opened the box...

Agree about the 24/2.8. Using it on the K-1, it gave results that came close in terms of FoV and 'look' to the DA15 on APS-C.

Make sure you look carefully at the optics though, they can sometimes have cement separation that appears like a light haze.
Many thanks, I'll check the lens over when it arrives but will pay particular attention to signs of separation.
