ive just found out in the last few days that my mate who owned a shop in town that does developing and prints has had to close due to high rates etc.

The cheapest I can get it down to at the moment is 6 quid with postal fees

Looks like my days shooting analogue are numbered.

To say I am gutted is a understatement - I just cant afford to shoot it anymore

Shooting and reviewing digital images does absolutely nothing for me but I'll have to try and fall in love with it again
Sounds to me like you'll need to learn to develop yourself. In the long run I don't think it will work out as more expensive than having someone else do them, though it will use more of your time, especially if you're also scanning yourself.

Doesn't he have a strap for that 'Blad???

Do you reckon he knows how to use them or is he just using them as "cool accessories"?

As stated by JAK, you need to fine-tune the AF. This kind of problem is very common on DSLRs, not just Pentax.

It's a pain in the backside to do but once it's done then it should end your AF woes.

I'm not in the market and I hope my K3 will last at least another three years. I think the KP looks very good, and is possibly the most handsome Pentax DSLR ever made, but the lower-charge battery when compared to the K3 and others and the excessive price put me off. The K3 and K3 II are far better value but when they're gone, they're gone, and they're APS-C flagship replacement will be far more expensive.

I have found that third-party lithium batteries in my K3 are a false economy. Of the two I bought when I bought my K3, one stopped working completely in around 18 months and the other only gets a few score photos before it dies. I bought one extra genuine one at christmas when there was an offer on them at SRS and now I have only one spare, but the genuine ones last for ages.

I bought my old K200D for it's ability to use AA batteries but that decision was a very bad one - I found all types of AA batteries to be very unreliable and many times found myself unable to take photos because batteries which were supposedly fully charged would not work in the camera.

From the reviews I've read, I'd be very surprised if the Sigma isn't better in every way.

My laptop has 8 gigs in it and it's around six years old. These days I wouldn't but a laptop with less than 16.

Fake news, the pound actually rose in value all through and after the 2014 referendum, the only way Scotland can lose 'billions' is bye way of the Westminster goverment and the Barnett Formula, but thats a discussion for another place.
Nonsense. Scotland lost billions in investments due to investor uncertainty. That money was invested elsewhere instead because business doesn't stop, plans are changed and things move on.

That same principle applies to Brexit - money will be invested elsewhere instead of in the UK, that drives the economy down and de-values the pound against other currencies, which drives prices up. It's very basic economics.

It's already happened - a camera with the KP's feature list would have cost around 200GBP less had it come out a couple of years ago.

The decline of the pound started with the announcement of the referendum rather than the date of the vote itself. Uncertainty over the future has caused the price rises.

When the referendum on Scottish independence was announced, the country lost billions of income before the vote even took place.

Chris has warned a few times in the last few months that anybody wanting to purchase should do so ASAP, so this is not a surprise.
