Could be there'll be other GX-20 sell offs to watch out for?

Maybe they're getting out of DSLR's?

Just for everyone's information, I've just come off the phone to Wilkinsons who are out of stock of the GX20, and won't be getting any more in as it's discontinued!

Makes me wonder about (a) what its replacement will be, and (b) the future of the K20D?

I can put in a recommendation for rechargeable CR-V3 batteries - you can pick up a pair (you only need two) and charger for £20. In all the time I had my K100d (before I dropped it into a rockpool :roll I only once even got the battery display to show half full.
That's interesting, as the manual specifically says rechargeable CR-V3 batteries are not recommended! Clearly you've had no problems nickh?

Buy on-line through Quidco and there's (potentially) an additional 6% off.

The German site's interesting. If my school-boy German is correct they're essentially looking for up to 10 volunteers to try the new 'K' and write about it on their blogs.

UK site....!!!????

The current drain on the K100D Super is probably much higher than your old Fuji compact. Notwithstanding, and even though they're GP brand, a fully charged set of 2700's should last longer than 10 shots.

Were they fully charged when you put them in?

According to here> http://www.botzilla.com/photo/strobeVolts.html the answer is NO! The voltage is too high.

Were did the Tokina 12-24 came, it's the same lens qua optical design you see so if that one ended high we don't need to say much more
The Tokina 12-24 came much higher. It appears it might be in a MkII guise though.

As for 'our' Pentax, I struggled to reconcile the words with the marks, although they did make a lot of it's price - £525.

Pleased they worried about the important things and didn't get side-tracked too much on image quality, performance or value for money - 3 stars each (out of 5), although they thought it deserved 4 stars for features and build, "..the finish and feel doesn't appear any more refined than cheaper Pentax lenses and considering the price tag, this is a little disappointing". Overall 3 stars vs the Canon and Nikon with 5 stars.
