Went out to see if I could get a shot of the aurora last night, highest place for miles (Billinge), dark country lane with a clear view across fields, nothing

I'll try again tonight

I agree with Matts comments about people learning to corner properly, in fact, learn to drive properly

Car scrappage. yeah, croc of sh*te, think of all the waste and polution that caused, do politicians really think anything through first

I knew someone with a SMART, engine died after 60k, so they bought another That can't be good for the environment

Oh, and I drive a Peugeot 306 Diesel, 47mpg, goes great and handles well

Regards,

John

The best answer is usually: buy glass. Lenses keep their value better and do not go out of style. Whereas there is always a new body just around the corner.
I'd agree with this, I certainly wouldn't be buying a new body with Photokina just around the corner.

Lovely set of images, particularly like 1 and 2, that new Sigma seems to be doing a great job. I think with the 10-20 it's more perspective than distortion. I'm surprised you didn't use the KX for these, or did you not have it at the time.

I agree with iceblinker. I've not made any test about the individual+global adjustment addition, but the manual clearly specify that the two values are not added.

I know the DEBUG_MODE ON, and I will perform tests with it.
This was my understanding also.

AFAIK +/-10 is as far as it will go. My DA 16-50 is -6 @ 28mm. It may be worth performing a focus test at approximately half way through the zoom range as it may vary at different focal lengths.

The little chap(ess) in the seventh one should be shown in dictionaries under "being resigned to".

Hi thoramay

Unlikely, charm is not one of my strengths

Thanks for the comments, it was a very enjoyable event despite the weather and so informative, I just wish I could listen and take shots at the same time
