The vertically running metal shutters are not so vulnerable, and of course once everything became motorised then we had no choice anyway.

First up is the Tamron AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Tele-Macro 1:2, a very useful lens that is in copious supply. This one is in fine condition, so how about a very attractive price of £40 to clear it?

Second is the very fine SMC Pentax-FA 50mm f/1.4, from time to time in high demand, and a great lens to have for general shooting and low light. Beautiful condition and offered at a very low £100.

Third is the Sigma EX 50-500mm f/4-6.3 APO DG, which had been sold but the buyer changed his mind before it was sent out. Condition is clean glass, fully working but showing obvious signs of use. Final very low price of £100. NOW SOLD

Shipping is UK only via DPD for next day delivery at a cost of £10 for any quantity of items.
Any questions, just ask!

I'm not sure the photographer sent out to try it made the most of the possibilities, but it wasn't helped by the video being quite low resolution, so it was impossible to judge the sharpness of the images. One ijteresting thing was the mention of the Japanese ethos regarding shrines and their history of tearing them down after 30 years or so to teach new generations of engineers how to build them again. The stated impliocation for photography was that they were keeping alive the ability to design and build film cameras, which could otherwise be lost.
Would I use this on any type of shoot instead of digital? I don't know, but I'd love the opportunity to try it out and review it in due course.
