Are the first two taken of a dogs nose and whiskers?
I was thinking of buying a true macro lens myself. I had thought of the Pentax 35mm macro limited but have not managed to see any sample shots taken by it yet. Did you research this lens before buying?

I really like the miner bird. I like the way it's 'posing' for you. What would make it perfect for me is if you got the whole bird in the shot. I know this can be impossible at times and I would rather get the shot you got than nothing and scaring the bird off by moving!! The birds eye is sharp and well exposed revealing good detail. Well done!

I use the Sigma 135-400mm f5.6 bought from SRS whom are currently selling it for £419.00. Here's an example photo taken with mine below:

A lovely photo, well exposed. I like the expression of the dogs face, full of character.

What do you think?

Has anyone bought this lens? Or have/know where I can see example pics taken by it? Also, should I buy the 35mm or 100mm?
