Yes sorry

It is a Pentax K200d. Dull grey blobs. I do have the sensor shaker switched on to activate each time but whne I look at the image of the sensor it does look pretty dusty. So a soft brush with air blower?

Hi

I seem to be getting a couple of artifcats on all my images, in the same place. I have cleaned the lens and the tried wiping the mirror ( not sure I should be doing this) but they are still present. I am assuming that they are on my censor but I am unsure of the best way to clean this with causing damage, any ideas please.

Hi

Today, after much trouble, I saved some recent images to a DVD using Sonic. When I try to view them on tv through my DVD player it wont allow me saying disc not compatible, or something similar. It is a DVD-RW which my panasonic player should allow. Next point, now when I go back to my PC my sonic DVD package I used will not open even when I put a new DVD in as if to start again. Can anyonye suggest what I have doen wrong for on each occasion, I dont understand why it should be so difficult just to copy some photos to a dvd and watch them on TV. Even more baffling as to why my sonic programme is no longer working or loading.

Many thanks

Johna

Umm I am a bit confused I thought you used a conversion factor of roughly x1.5 to digtal lens sizes to get the 35mm equivlant. Therfore my digital kit lens which is 18-55 would be equivlant to 27 - 82mm and thus both lenses would be almost covering the same range?

I have purchased the K200 with the kit lens 18 55m SMC Penax DA. I also have an older lens SMC Pentax FA 28 - 80 (not digital size) I am wondering if this older lens is a better quality lens than the kit lens that came with camera?

Can anyone tell me if there are any good help guides that outline what the various controls do when tone mapping. It,s OK just playing with them but many seem to do similar things and leave me a little perplexed. It would be good to get a good understanding of what I am actually changing and why. what are the differences between Details enhancer and tone compressor in photomatix etc.. thanks

do the original images need to be shot in raw or could JPEG images be used for either psuedo or real?

So I have I got this correct? a psuedo HDR image is constructed from one raw shot that is then edited to produce a range of exposures, 3 or more. Where real HDR is sevral raw shots (of the same subject) each having a differnec of 2 f stops, so +2,+4,+6, 0, -2, -4, -6 Is that right.

Cheers

Two questions I aint sure about. When taking images for HDR is it best to shoot all raw or all JPEG?

What would you consider a good quality raw converter? Is PSE6 a good raw converter?
