Adrian is your screen damaged or just dusty , cos if you are gonna clean it with a blower do it with it still in the camera. mine had a very small scratch on it that bugged me and it was a bit dusty, so I bought a replacement from e bay . Sadly it came without the tool,so I made one, and fitted the replacement and the waffer thin copper shim and now its fine.

Then I got the old screen and tried to clean it with a visable dust swab and fluid it just went completely misty and streaky and is now useless. This is on my second hand K100 and I live in a very remote village with no Camera shops!!! I don't know if I try it on a brand new K5... Jeff

Yeah I agree with all of the above , I made a little tool out of a paper clip and it was a piece of cake to remove and change the focus screen. But the screen is very delicate ,I carefuly tried to clean the one I removed with a sensor cleaning pad and fluid and killed it .... jeff

Here you just have to chill, in the supermarket, people just don't do queing shoping is a social event and therefore involves coffee, cake ,cigarettes and gosip .You just have to join in and if it takes 30 mins to buy some loo paper , that's life.... Jeff...

Yes I agree with what being said here , this forum has a many members from pros to real beginers.
So for some people to post the first photo in your photos section is a big step , but putting stuff out is what it's about
So getting stuff ignored is tough, getting stuff commented on is good, getting stuff liked is great. and the discusion that goes on about work you like by other people is very important to fill in the knowledge gap.
I think I understand a BIT more about making photos since I got my DSLR and joined PU, but I understand a LOT more about looking at photos since I joined PU .
And that has to be of value.... Jeff....

Hi Nick and welcome to the forum, you asked what film to get ,and about processing. I guess it depends on a few things. what do you want to photograph? ,colour ,black and white, prints, slides?
Do you have a local Camera shop in your town that can handle the developing and printing? If you do start there, buy a roll or two and get going ,best of luck ....Jeff...
