‘Snobbery’ can go two ways of course. Yesterday I was pottering round a Garden Centre cum Nature Park with my (adopted) grandchildren, so naturally had my trusty K20 with me.
Sitting down for the mandatory Ice Cream (for the Kids, I can’t stand the stuff), I saw a guy sitting a few tables away with a Pentax. I spoke over to him and said ‘ah a Pentax Man then’. He grinned replying ‘of course’.
There followed a 15 min Pentaxian conversation. We exchanged email addresses and went our separate ways (me to clean up Ice Cream).
If he was waving about any other Brand, human contact would not have occurred

I like Halletts' work. Very Hockney. it's not a question whether it is photography or not - more that it is a creatiion using what look like very straight pics, put together in a creative way. On the other hand I hate hate hate overly PP stuff and wish the word 'Photoshop' was deleated from the language.

Quite clear here last night, while standing outside for 10 minutes last night smoking a cig I saw at least 10. I doubt I would have been able to take a decent pic of them though, it must be very frustrating.

Not so much flustrating - just bloody cold! Checking the replies to this it seems 4 were lucky and 6 were not.

ISO - a decent ale (Shepherd Neame in your part of the world?) trumps lager any time, but the local shop hasn't installed pumps yet (tut!) I assume you will be giving it another go tonight - weather permitting

Morning All. Shepherd Neame is very good, along with Harveys and Greene King, all available round here. Unfortunately my Local has lost it's way a bit on quality. If you mean giving it another go tonight Beer wise YES But looking at the forecast I doubt we will see any sparklers.ISO - a decent ale (Shepherd Neame in your part of the world?) trumps lager any time, but the local shop hasn't installed pumps yet (tut!)
