Sorry to bring this thread up... but where can you buy one for K-5 in UK?
It's easy to buy from USA via their website. Although I was rather worried that it was a 'Fred Chan' or whatever, that turned out to be the seller. However no problem - it turned up in the post in 2 weeks. I think they are well worth having - by the way, you also get a top LCD cover in the price.

I thought the Pentax Stand was ok. Helpful people, got out a 300 f4 from a cupboard for me to play with.

However where the marketing effort fell down was that they only had ONE stockist at the show. First rule of marketing is that no matter how good your promo is (as John has listed), if your product doesn’t have Distribution (Stockists), people are not exposed to it and the ‘opportunity to purchase’ is zero.

Algi - sorry to be picky but the one I have in mind is a M* - so does the same apply?

Yes - the M* and A* lenses are excellent and surprisingly compact. Both are prone to some purple fringing (but can be processed out) and the only other downside (apart from MF) is that they do not focus terribly close. Other than that, highly regarded and often priced to reflect that!
With a 1.7x converter would you get any autofocus?
