It happened again even after logging in. Got the email to click through.
As I said in the last post, I don't have a Notification Check Box at the bottom beneath the Comments Box?
Only
Check this box to attach your signature to this post

That's maybe the problem. When I open PU I go straight to the Forum forgetting to log in.
I have this time, so will see what happens, although I notice at the bottom of this screen there is only a box to check for signature, and not one to check for notifications?

Thanks for that.
I have an old copy of Lightroom (never used).
I just have a problem with the ‘post processing’ concept. Having started with Pentax Spotmatics and earlier, (a) I am getting on a bit (b) some of its uses seem to take things beyond what I would call Photography (c) could I be ‘bothered’.
I reckon I take some decent shots but they wouldn’t stand up to a lot I see on the Site. Bar Cropping, they are as they are, and tend to be ‘photos of record’, (say a Lesser Spotted attacking a Fat Ball).
Maybe I need some guidance.
Am impressed you didn’t use any Sharpening, which is a tribute to the Lens and the Photographer. Re colour saturation though, am I wrong, but on a K5 there is a setting for this?
Thanks again.
PS Signing off now, got to go and shoot a bird for Dinner

Quick query, if a thread isn't posted to does add notification get turned off automatically. This seems to have happened a few times for this thread anyway. I was beginning to think it had closed
No I don't think notification gets turned off by design. But like you I find it gone, not just on this thread. I put it down to Gremlins
Probably happen with this one

Mind you don’t take any notice of me – nobody else does

I haven’t been around for a while but just back and saw this.
IMO the original is the best. The Hero of the shot is the Landrover, and the mud in the foreground tells the tale. The tonal values are almost ‘dual-tone’ (Note I didn’t say Duotone)…
I think all the ‘PROCCESSING’ that others have attempted just gets me back on my Hobby Horse. A photograph is what, (bar a bit of cropping), comes out of the back of the camera.
Nice shot Ralph – I like it.

The way things are going there's certainly NO chance of anything being resolved
