SanDisk is now introducing 4 Gbyte (and soon an 8 Gbyte version) of their memory cards. They call these cards "Extreme" memory cards.
Has anyone had a bad (or good) experience using these new cards? I'm asking because a Pentax technician earlier cautioned me about the "extreme" cards.
Thanks.
Dan

After dragging the update software onto my memory card, and removing the USB cable from my computer, I turned on my camera while holding down the MENU button. But I only see the Version 1.0 text, and the camera proceeds directly into operation mode. I do not see "NOW LOADING" on the LCD screen. No updating of the firmware takes place.
Also, when using the FORMAT selection from the Setup Menu, the contents of the memory card are not erased.
Is anyone else experiencing problems installing the firmware update?
Thanks,

The K110D is my first digital camera, and the flash unit I chose is the AF360GZ.
I’m having a lot of difficulty interpreting the instructions in the AF360GZ manual, which constantly makes references such as “P-TTL Auto flash mode is set automatically with *ist, MZ-S or MZ-LMZ-6/ZX-L.” I have no idea what the text is referring to. A chapter beginning on page 22 of the manual is titled “P-TTL Auto Flash (With *ist, MZ-S, MZ-:/MZ-6ZX-L).
The K110 manual recommends the AF360GZ flash, but offers no instructions on using a flash unit. And the operating manual for the AF360GZ makes no mention of the K110D as a compatible camera. So I’m stressing out trying to learn how the two units work together.
Page 51of the K110D Operating Manual mentions the four available flash modes, but offers no instructions on which mode to select when using a flash accessory like the AF360GZ.
Can anyone help me understand the relationship between the AF360GZ and the K110D?
Thanks,
Dan
