To clear up any confusion, I saved it at 12
Next time i'll reduce it, I just like the high qualtiy
though saving at 10 reduces the file size by over a half sometimes.

Ahh yes, formby. Ill be going there for some shots when I buy a longer lens
Its interesting
All along this coast we have magnificent sunsets

Thanks for the critiques guys
Daniel, I saw the odd bit by the turbines and sorted it (I think it was from a layer mask, i mustve caught my tablet with my pen when the brush was selected!", but the other two I didnt notice, its great you point them out because I was planning on getting this printed, so ill sort those on the large version Thanks!

And the image was imported as 300dpi simply because cameraraw does that; I dont save it especially as 300

300DPI to 72DPI doesnt make a difference, and if it does, its roughly 40kb.
I know, the pipe is an annoyance, but I cant really do anything about it

Initially composed of 9 photos I think
.[][][][]
[][][][][]
this produced a roughly 12000px wide image
cropped the excess edges down to 10500px
then this crop was at about 9000px
to get rid of the s bend in the horizon and improve composition
I worked all night on this, and im really quite proud of it
Watermarks there for posting other places where people arent so trustworthy
sad really, that I have to do that
Anyway
hope you enjoy it

centre of map is the exact position my tripod was
well, within 5metres

Atfer stitching a pana together, the outcome often has a large area of black on it
now this is okay if it say, makes up half the file; im fine with cropping from a 21000px by 3000x down to around 10000px to 3000
but ive just had a problem arise where i have black surrounding my image to the point where my image makes under 1% of the file, meaning for a full size version the file would have to be over 1 million pixels in length; something my computer cant handle
Has anyone else witnessed this problem, is there a way to solve it?

I managed to work it out, sorry
For some reason it was told the focal length of my lens was 4400
I wish!

Yeah, ram is very important for photo-editing id say, you want to be able to run the files and not have them lag, sure the monitors important too, but if the computer is crap and ruins your workflow, whats the point

I have 2 gigs ram, 160GB internal HD and 160GB external (internals filled now with music and photos). Ill probably upgrade my ram by next year.

What do you like about Mac, what do you like about PC?
It may help in easing you decide listing them, for your own sake and ours

It was heavily overlapped, probably 40% or similar.
Yeah
Its not really well composed either
But the skies nice colours and interesting so I thought i'd show it.
That hugin program works miracles though, although setting control points for 6 images takes time, its worth it in the end.

After a day of shooting some images of urban dereliction, I walked through Southport to the marine lake for sunset.

Panorama stiched in Hugin (fantastic program), from 6 shots vertical I think. Finished product 9000 pixels across.

K100D + DA18-55
@55, 200ISO, F/5.6, 1/125.
No tripod used, alligned with eye

Chirpy, that is beautiful. The colour rendition is perfect and the resolution is so high, the contrast is perfect between the feathers.
And I wouldn't stress about the trailing leg, I didnt notice until I re-read your description and looked for it. And the tail isnt that important really.
