Nicely done - and without a tripod too!
As for the aesthetics though, I have to say that I like the sky but I find the foreground a little uninspiring. Still, I think overall an excellent effort.

It was heavily overlapped, probably 40% or similar.

Its not really well composed either
But the skies nice colours and interesting so I thought i'd show it.
That hugin program works miracles though, although setting control points for 6 images takes time, its worth it in the end.

I really like the sky as well - but is there any way you can get rid of the spar sticking up from the wharf? It just keeps drawing my eye away from taking in the whole shot.

very nice Rob. I'd agree with Mac though that the crane jib is quite distracting but could easily be cloned out.

Nice job. I too find the jib/spar distracting. And maybe you could trim a bit off the bottom?
I use PSE6 for panoramas, PSE (and PS) used to be useless at stitching, but they have really worked on that and I'm very impressed with it now.

After a day of shooting some images of urban dereliction, I walked through Southport to the marine lake for sunset.
Panorama stiched in Hugin (fantastic program), from 6 shots vertical I think. Finished product 9000 pixels across.
K100D + DA18-55
@55, 200ISO, F/5.6, 1/125.
No tripod used, alligned with eye
