Forgive me for being naive, but have got 100mm F2.8 (film) sigma macro lens, and never put it on any camera yet. In instructions, which are for film as it is a film lens, it says for program and shutter priority modes , turn the diameter ring to 'A' position. For aperture priority and manual mode, the diaphram ring has to be turned to which ever fstop needed. This would be ok with my MZ3, but for my DL2, obviously I would need to enable aperture ring in the menu system, or could I just put it to Av mode, and change the shutter speed as I would for other autofocus lenses? I'm just a bit worried about ruining my DL2 or the macro lens itself. Anyone who perhaps has this lens or similar, help using it on a digital body would be greatly appreciated

I've just aqquired a sigma 105mm f2.8 ex macro (for film) today from a jessops that is closing for a bargain £42. Will I have a problem using this on my DL2 in terms of taking macros? I still intend to use it on my MZ3 though. Any tips to get the most from it with the DL2?

Can anyone enlighten me if Pentax made a specific flash unit to go with the spotmatic, and if so what was the model number. I have a completely manual Centon flash which fires ok, but wonder if Pentax had produced one specifically for the spotmatic

I have a centon and jessops flash which are manual which I can attach with a lead - would these do the job, if I put them on manual setting?

It has a PK mount, so I don't need any adapter

I purchased today a 500mm tokina mirror lens, PK fit. I have tried it on my MZ30, before putting it on my mz3 or dl2. However, I have put the camera into manual focusing, and set the dial to AV. However, an icon in the bottom left of the lcd screen flashes av with ---- next to it, and I cannot change this ---- to F8. I did set av to f8 before putting the lens on, but it does not seem to register after putting the lens on. F appears in the viewfinder. The camera obviously will not fire. The lens is in mint condition. Any help would be appreciated - not sure if mz30 is just not compatible, or I am just plainly missing something!
