Now now, we only bite when angry!

Advice and criticism are freely given and, in most cases received in the way they're meant.

But if you want criticism.....

The X70 seems to be setting the standard for it's type of camera!

I haven't seen a bad shot so far, I know you don't post bad shots, still....

Here's a link to the Japanese based manual site.

No sign of on for the K-7 yet though!

Thanks John. The camera has the cheaper lens and is in 'used' condition, but what the heck! it's a camera and they're for using!

Exposure isn't a problem my Ikophot can handle that, it's the distance thing I need to master.

Any suggestion as to a cheap film to use?

Picked this up today for £5, there's a bag of bits with it as well.

It is, as the title says , an AGFA isolette V.Does anybody know anything about them?

I've never used 120 role film before, I think that's what it takes, so any hints would be welcome.

Any of the cameras that have P or Tv modes can operate these lenses. The camera sets the aperture just as it would with any lens with the aperture ring set on "A".
I forgot that bit!

Well spotted John.

There is another thread running on here along similar lines. If a lens has no aperture ring, clearly aperture can't be set on the lens itself. Therefore aperture must be set on the body. AFAIK only the MZ-6 and *ist 35mm film bodies can do this, but there could be others.

Any K mount lens will work on any K mount body but aperture ring-less lenses fitted to bodies having no aperture control will use the lens wide open and vignetting may occur.
I pointed out one of my threads earlier in this thread, I've used the standard 18-55 lens on a P30 body, the camera set the aperture and there were no problems.

From the introduction of the Ka mount(I think) the bodies seem able to set aperture.

I could be wrong

Good one John, trying film again will make you appreciate the speed of digital.

Post a few shots when you have them.

B&W really brings the building and aircraft together, nice one.

I keep meaning to hop over to the northern branch, that's suposed to be much better than the London one.

Introducing the PENTAX K-7.

Our latest K series camera is built for PENTAX SLR photographers who
have been asking for more advanced features in a smaller, solid,
comfortable-to-hold body. This high-quality construction coupled with
the growing line-up of PENTAX Limited compact prime lenses offers a
compelling combination for serious PENTAX shooters and many others who
currently don't own or previously have not considered adding a PENTAX to
their camera bag.
It sounds like Pentax have been reading the posts on here and other sites calling for a digital MX.

I'll reserve judgement until I see a K-7.
