I sold one of those recently for not much more money (around £18 iirc) and had the same thoughts as you John: The plastic mount made it feel a little cheap but otherwise it seemed quite a nice little camera.
I'd also be interested to see what results you manage to squeeze out of it

Well done Mr. Riley! - The MZM is a great little camera.
I too, bagged a bargain on ebay last week. Not quite as good as yours, though.
Two KX bodies, a Tele-converter and a lot of Hoya filters. All in a large black aluminium case, for £67.
I will sell one of the bodies, the doubler, case and filters. The other body will go to Asahi photo for an overhaul. Should be good for another twenty years!

I'll bear it in mind, womble...
I will put a film through both of them soon, then decide which one to keep.
It beats me why people pay upwards of sixty quid for K1000s, when KXs and KMs are better specified cameras and usually sell for a good deal less.

I did sell a KX a couple of years ago, body only, for about £100, but it was very nice one. I hankered after another, but you foiled me! Let me know if you are selling the other KX.

I have been after a KX for ages. Now I've got two of the bleedin' things! Having been outbid on several, I was determined not to lose this time!.
If it's any consolation, I discovered yesterday, that one of the bodies has a little fault. The shutter speed indicator needle sometimes sticks in one position. That has rather put the tin hat on my intention of selling it for enough to pay for the service on the other, cleaner one.

I used a MZ-M for about ten years. I have had no problem with the plastic mount although I was surprised that it was plastic, whereas the 35-80mm zoom that came with it had a metal mount.
The camera has fully programmed mode, Av mod, Tv mode and full manual mode, with shutter speed and f-stop setting displayed in the viewfinder window. Exposure compensation and depth of field preview.
A great little camera in my view.

It's actually a very nice little camera and I've got a couple of rolls of Velvia left, so I think I might have a go.
The plastic lens mount is a bit disconcerting, but I guess if it works...but for £12.50 who could complain?
