The thought was we have galleries for the competitions where we can browse earlier postings, so why not for group meets?

'Spider's right about waiting for the images to load, I keep loosing the comments in threads when another image completes and drops the page further down the screen.

It was just an Idle thought that threads would benefit and we'd have some where to look and see if another meet at the same place for more members would be worth suggesting?

So, no reasonable priced 645s then.

As for the lens factor, the Pentax glass already available should provide decent quality images.

It does on the DSLR front where backwards compatibility is a big thing.

Hmm! the people who have voted say yes, I was hoping for a bit more feed back though!

I can't badger the IT guys on just a 5 vote poll, still...

I thought the 645 market was only a small one?

With all the companies releasing models will that bring the price down so us mere mortals will be able to afford one?

Considering that release prices drop by roughly a third in the first year it looks promising.

Everybody should have to do 6 months on film before being let loose with a digital body.

That way they'd learn about exposure, composition, shutter speed and how to use them all together.

I know what you mean about the flying display on Saturday 'spider, I stood near a post and got some good profiles. But flying birds!!

You need a much faster lens than I had.

Undercliffe in the snow?

I'm mad, not suicidal!

When it snows it's time to use the car, claim mileage and hunt for miscreants in the parks and cems on foot.

And fall over a lot on the ice!!

That sounds feasible, the 10 meg in the k10/200/20/m is a sony unit so...

Lets wait and see, we can start a new thread when somebody gets hands on info.

Lucky s**!

I spend a lot of time in cemeteries in the course of my work, mostly sorting out noisy youths.

I don't take a camera as they don't like being bumped around in motorcycle boxes. Still when the weather's right I might just visit a few on my days off.
