You could try that Emma, you'd need a standard eyepiece to use it by the look of it and a T2 mount.

You can sometimes clear this jam by smacking the base of the camera against the palm of your hand, but it will come back. There is a site detailing the common causes of ME/ME Super jams, I think it generally comes back near the top of the results if you Google "Pentax ME Jammed".
Or you could just lift the rear shutter curtain using a small screw driver, and let it drop to see if that does the trick.

But, as DM says, the fault can re-occur.

Looking at the setup your easiest option to use any other P&S camera could be to get one of these and a standard eye piece for the scope.

The adaptor you have seems to be specific for the camera.

Hope that helps.

Missed that Mannesty, I just copied and pasted the name, didn't check it for the title.

Sorry

Yep, Link's here.

Seriously though, the price isn't bad for a 35mm f2 prime.

Probably, but it is an alternative source (if they have them).

Dixons probably have them too, but I haven't looked, yet.

I hate it when I'm directed to a 'free download' only to find I have to make an 'account'.

If it's free why do they want my e-mail, name and address?

Sun's gone down and so is the temperature, but the pie's cooking nicely.

bombardier is only £1 a bottle at Morrisons at the moment, nice!

I was going to say that, but it's a little above the budget limit.
