Camera shake is not your friend so you need high shutter speeds or a tripod.
Really, this ought to be academic as a quality supplier will probably accept evidence that your particular lens is a lemon if that's what it is and replace it. You could confirm this before placing the order.

I've bought several lenses from a local Pro dealer and they're more than happy to let me go outside to try a few 'street shots'.
A quick check on the camera screen for clarity etc. and away I usualy go with a new lens.
It also helps that I leave my lens from the body on the counter, oh and they now know me.

My Tamron 18-250 lives on my K200d, unless I want to play.
Do I have a Pentax lens in constant use?
Not really, I'd love a 30(ish) auto focus but budgets don't allow!
Are you a bad Pentaxian, not really, if the lenses were on film bodies then I'd say yes (my MZ-6 has a FA 28-80 on it All the time!)but as it's a growing collection for digital use...

Got to York, opened the bag and found the K200 had the Samsung 100mm on!
Never mind, i managed to get some shots to sort, one or two may be OK, you never know.
No lenses that I want though.
As for the 'new Sigma', I wonder if Lowepro do a case for it?

Off to York for a wander today. K200 with Tammy 18-250 on shoulder and Oly XA in pocket.
