Pan Choice in Shipley.

The meal was OK and the lager was drinkable at least, unlike most places I've been.

At that price I wouldn't complain, it's just cost me £76 for six of us eating at the buffet.

That includes drinks as well.

Still....

...I could do another one...

You got the Tammy for £30?

Bargain!

It's a well regarded lens, as your shots show, and at that price a steal.

I use mine on my K200d, a sort of idiot proof version of the K10d, and am more than happy with it.

Nice shots by the way, number 1 for me catches everything about the bird so well.

As was stated on the previous thread, the web site should survive on the ad revenue.

The other thought was about the PDF copies.

Do these exist for previous editions of PU, and how far back do they go if they do?

If not could they be produced in year book form and offered as a pay to down load item?

I don't subscribe because I didn't feel the need to, but older copies from the film or early digital age would be of interest to me, and probably others too.

First camera used was a Spotmatic, and I lusted after one for ages, finally getting several from ebay!

First actually owned was a second hand Zenit E, it's still around somewhere and it still works!!!

How things have changed from the '70s, now it can be as simple as point and shoot or as difficult as taking readings, setting aperture, adjusting shutter speed....

I'm with Pentaxophile and Mongoose here, why not offer to do a portfolio shoot for her, it would be cheaper for her if you had a night in her guest house than buying a new camera just for a one-off reason.

Sorry TT, the tammy's staying where it is

Just take the 18-55 as your zoom, nice and wide for scenery with just a bit more for close up than the 40..

The standard 18-55 is a good walk about in it's own right, in fact I did see several Pentax bodies being used in France with just this lens...

Unless you're certain you'll need the 200 length leave it at home.

In the past I've travelled with the 18-55/50-200 combo and found it fine.

Now, though I use an 18-250!

Looking at last years shots I'd just go with the 40, and take a few steps back or forward for the framing. I did this recently and found my 40Ltd to be an excellent street lens,
