I've just got back from a holiday in France where the Tammy 18-250 was the lens on my K200d.

No problems with the lens and as a walk about/ candid shot/general use lens I found it superb.

Highly recommended, even if you think the long end won't get used, it will!

Welcome back HG! did you have a good time? Where did you go in France.

Forgive me if you've already told us this before
Thanks Gwyn.

We headed down to the Ardeche and on to Provence.

Blue skies, temperatures in the high 30s, good food and drink.

It's a bit of a shock getting back to reality!

And it's raining

Just posted the first image in the gallery, there'll be more over the next few days as I get my head around them.

Just back from France and surprised this thread is still going.

I know of one K200d that's ben around Europe on at least two occasions.

Guess what?

It's going again today! See you in seventeen days or so guys and keep on snapping!

Good shots of a difficult subject.

The drop is a real challenge for all but the widest of lenses and you've caught it well.

It's good to see the light was (is?) the same as when we passed there some nine years ago.

Wonderful place, Norway, everybody should visit it at least once just for the scenery.

Then again for the warm welcome from the people.

Then again for...

After doing the tests my brain hurts!

Glad to say, despite my daughters views, I'm not colour blind.

It was just an observation!

I was more than surprised to find my new (to me) DA40 was compatible with my MZ-30, I will use it on my MZ-6 (a much nicer body!) to shoot B&W in the street.

As for film users in general, last time I was in Barcelona, 2 years ago, I was surprised to see plenty of continental tourists carrying and using film cameras.

In fact I was out of place with my K110d!

Looking forward to using the K200 and Tamy 18-250 as we travel down, around and back through France

I'll be traveling light but may take the DA-40 for walkabouts.

Just noticed that since my son got home from Uni my connection has slowed down, I may have to charge him line rental!
