It's a while since we had a pointless, rambling topic. One where people could say anything, as long as it's not too serious!

The last one went on for 7 pages, so here it is.

I've just stacked 2 tons of wood in our wood shed.
Guess what I've just spent the last 2 hours doing?

And it's a year to the day, although the birthday proper is tomorrow!!!

Any of the original SP models will work without a battery, it's only there for the light meter.

The choice of model is wide open, but don't reject the SP500, it does have a 1000th setting in the blank area after 500th on the speed dial.

Have a look here for my views on Spotmatics.

Well this fog's interesting.

I can only see for about 150 meters at the most, and riding in it this evening's going to be fun!

Welcome back to Pentax, and to the family.

If, when, you have a problem just ask, somebody will know the answer.

I don't have any colour problems with my 35-80, mind, I do shoot B&W!

I find both it and the 28-80 lenses I have work well on both film and digital.

Ah the instructor's bike.

WHen I did do it I had a Yamaha RD400..LINK... mine was the last model in white and red.

When you passed a pupil on the back wheel to stop him you got respect!

But the story goes that lorries changed to the right on one day and cars the day after!!

Swedish logic?

I passed my bike test many centuries ago, had a spell as a riding instructor which ended one very cold wet winter 24 years ago. The students just didn't want to go out in bad weather!

At the time training was voluntary so earning a living was impossible.

Then the government got involved in 'road safety' and things have just gone from bad to incredibly worse!!!

Have a good time at the cottage Tony, don't forget a wide angle lens for the scenery.
