You could look for a Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar (50mm) or Flecktogon (35mm) if you fancy top German glass.
Failing that then the Super Takumar/Takumar lenses are the originals.
Or just visit the local charity shops and grab any M42 lenses to play with.
That's what I did

Please can we have a few more primes in this price range?
The optical formula appears to be a reworking of the old FA35 f2 lens and, as the results show, works very well. If a similar approach was taken with other 'obsolete' primes you could produce a range of affordable 'entry level' lenses.
Not all of us out here in consumer land can afford £300+ for a single lens, when we can we tend to buy super zooms to get more for our money.
Please help us explore the wonders of the prime at an affordable price.
Thanks Hardgravity.

Don't try rebuilding a frozen aperture, the blades have a mind of their own!!
My 'bargain' CZJ Tessar is currently in bits in a tray, I don't know when it's going back together coz I'm now off out to work!

I've just taken delivery of a SF1n (SFXn) and am amazed at the size of it.
Indeed Honesty asked if it was a 'digital' body it's that big!
Where as the MZ bodies are, in comparison, tiny. Even with the FG battery grip fitted.
