OK I'm convinced (sort of) this is the latest camera.

Are there anymore images of it, other than the single 2/3rds front view?

Until the full allround views are available we don't know what it's capable of.

Any thing from Chris at SRS?

But nothing official from Pentax.

When I click on the Amazon links I just get a default 'not here'page.

..and why is there nothing on the Pentax/Ricoh Japan site?

The worry is that this is a project camera that has, somehow, been miss represented by the French importers.

As such , even though announced and advertised, it may not exist.

I hope I'm wrong and that this will be a replacement for my aging K200...

OK, 2 questions

Why hasn't this camera been advertised/anounced here in the UK?

Does it actually exist?

If I play my cards right I can apply for volountery redundancy next March.

I'd get a small lump sum, but more important, I could acccess my pension..

... at 55!!!

I may still carry on working as is though.

Welcome to the family, if you have a problem just ask.

Nobody will make you feel a total idiot, they save that for me...

Welcome to the family.

Filters?

I've tried them and don't bother now, if you're carefull you don't need them for protection.

Best advice? get a cheap one and play.

Just had a thought, when viewing negatives whether colour or black and white there is always a light source behind the image. As womble asked about a light source in the lid, if you do not have one would placing a mirror or tin foil over the negative and using the scanners light source have the same effect?

I do not have any negatives to try this out myself so can't say for sure if its feasible
No.

I've tried and ended up buying a cheap negative scanner from Maplins like this LINK.

Although not high resolution, 5mp I think, these are affordable and easy to use, although the quality can be variable. If you get serious then you could move up market.

As for developing B&W film, the AGFA Rondinax mentioned earlier is spot on. 60 odd year old technology still work!

If you want to shoot B&W film to develop yourself try this company, I have and they're OK

Got it in one..

...Actual reason is so I can surf while the boss watches TV in the room next to the Kitchen. We can talk through the open door and I can follow things by listening.

Oh, and the fridge is ..just..here...
