Just spotted this Firmware update for the KS 2 , just done, mine works fine by the look of it. Its been updated because of :-
Corresponded to [KAF4 lens mount] that is equipped with an electromagnetic diaphragm control system.
Enable new lens HD PENTAX-DA 55-300mmF4.5-6.3ED PLM WR RE to shoot stable by updating firmware.

I use the Image Sync app on my Android phone with my K S2 regularly, it works just fine. The K S2 does nt have a wired remote option strangely but this works fine

I recently traded in my K7, and 18 - 55, 50 - 200 kit lenses ( good deal off SRS ) for a K S2 and the 18 - 135 and certanly don t regreat it, they are a great combination. The 18 - 135 will be a good buy if you want to travel lightly and like me, don t want to carry too much additional lens weight around with you. I have a couple other `special ` lenses, a 50mm Macro and a fast 30mm 1.4, but the 18 - 135 stays on the camera.

Part exchanged my K7 kit for a K S2 ( Black and Orange ) with the 18 - 135 lens, its a great combination.The image quality is definitely on a par or better than the K 7, not been used a great deal yet and I only do minor post processing with Faststone Image Viewer, cropping etc, but very impressed.
Got used to the minor difference in button layout easily enough although I have pressed the LV button instead of the Delete button a few times.
Have only had to consult the manual to setup the WiFi which is a new feature.
Great service from SRS again, thanks to, I think it was Jimmy and Doug who organsised delivery and collection the day following me placing the order.

New to this forum, ex Pentax Film user now got a new K7 , very pleased, just back from 3 weeks in France shot RAW +, now got 3,ooo pics, where do I start with the RAW files for quickist input into a holiday photobook? Do I just put in the best jpegs,will it make much difference at 8x10 ?
