Hi all,

I have *finally* managed to track down a good copy of a lens I have been looking for: a Voigtlander APO Lanthar 180/4. Consequently, I have little need for my 200/2.8 DA*. So I'd like to put in up for sale.

It's in fantastic condition, with the original box etc.

Asking price is 550 GBP. If you'd like to try the lens out before buying, I am based in central London. I'll accept cash, PayPal gift, or other PayPal so long as you cover the fees.

Do let me know if you have any questions.

Some pics of the lens and one from the lens (of my parents's dog) are below:

No, the lens is not pink---that's my sloppy work with the white balance.

The lens arrived quickly and well-packed. Communication from the seller was top notch (even if mine was a bit lacklustre).

Thanks for the smooth transaction!

hi there,

i don't have one, but if you're in london, there's a fantastic deal on the 8-16mm at srs microsystems, which is on the outskirts of london.

good luck in getting a hold of a nice wide angle.

i have a set of cokin-a holders that is getting left home more and more.

even though my k7 doesn't really have much of a reputation for having much dynamic range, the 10 and a bit stops it does have covers most situations.

in post-processing, i generally try a software to darken the sky. first i try the grad filters in lr3. if they are no good because of a complicated horizon, then i go for the grad filters in nik color efex pro, since you can easily apply the grad filter selectively to the sky in those scenarios.

i do own a b+w 10 stop nd, which i'm growing to like more and more.

i feel quite similar to the op. i use a 3 prime kit.

the two ones that always come are the 15mm and 31mm.

i often grab either the 70mm or a 135mm pentax-m to keep it company. thanks to a recent suggestion on the forum, i use the 31mm with a 58mm-49mm step down ring to keep myself at 49mm throughout. i pair this set up with a 49mm polariser, a 10 stop nd filter, and a tripod, and that's a nice bit of compact travel kit.

didn't take me much

i always assumed i'd get vignetting. the size aspect is one i can live with for the superb optics. a 49mm stepdown ring is on order.

but still thinking about that 77mm now. perhaps my 35mm and 70mm can fund one of those for me...

hi all,

of all the lenses i should want to sell, it's arguably my finest one: my 31/1.8.

the reason? i've settled on a 49mm filter set (goes with the da limiteds and the 135/3.5). i've also settled on small lenses.

i still own my 35/2.8, which is a bit smaller (materially so, since i do keep lenses in my pocket).

the 70mm i own is a pain to use with filters, because of the hood, so i'm thinking of trading it up for the 77mm. the stop of speed would be nice too...

so: sell the 31mm and 70mm, and buy the 77mm. good idea, or not?

hoping to get some input into this, since i'm genuinely in two minds.
