Thanks for your reply Sledger. Can I just confirm that the review of an image, once shot, will load to this screen without further faffing about.
At the moment the only way for a proper review is to use USB to plug into laptop which then has to be unplugged before another shot can be taken.
Thanks once again for responding,
Cheers,
Eugene.

I am currently thinking of purchasing a field monitor such as Lilliput FA1013-NP/H/Y - 10" HDMI monitor
http://www.lilliputdirect.com/hdmi/10-inch-hdmi/lilliput-fa1013
Using the correct HDMI cable will I be able to use this type of unit for
enhanced live view and instant review of captured images?
I am not interested in tethered control of my camera as my K-7 already has beautifully engineered switches, dials etc.
My needs are based on poor eyesight and the difficulty I have using manual focus on the existing 3" screen on the back of the camera (even pressing the info button repeatedly to zoom in normal LV).
Thanks in advance,
Eugene Stevenson.

Hi Guys, I've just bought two light stands for my speedlights. They have a qtr inch thread so my trigger receivers screw on and the light fits into the build in hot shoe. Great,I can adjust the height angle etc of the head but I'm now stuck in landscape mode for the flash face.
Is there some sort of 90 degree knuckle or similar that I can put between the stand and the receiver.
At the moment I'm strapping my speelights to the shaft of the light stand with elastic bands. Not an ideal scenario.
Any links would be helpful, don't realy want to invest in booms etc unless I have to.
Cheers,
Eugene.

Thanks for that Peter. I couldn't see how one could discharge quicker than the others when connected in series but I said I'd ask the question.
Thanks again,

Hi Folks,
I've been using my AF360 flash for a while now but have recently changed to lithium batteries as recomended by others who say they last much longer though for a higher initial cost (not re-chargeable).
I've contacted the manufacturer who reckons it's possibly my flash, not their batteries.
Has anybody had any similar issues with this flash? The last meter test I did on a recent set showed 3x at 1.61V and 1x at 1.05V. Needless to say the flash wouldn't charge.
Thanks in advance,
Gene Stevo.

Thanks to all for responding. Found something akin to MattMatic's link relating to Canon triggers which also related to Pentax. Who'd have thought?
The reason I need this route is that I'm going to do some arty/farty stuff with flying liquids/sliding tables etc. The event will trigger the shutter which will inturn fire the flash rigs. I could theoretically engineer something to press the button on my type F remote when the "event" happened but that would be a real faff and be very difficult to calibrated for the inevitable timing issues.
Thanks all again for your assistance.
Pentax forever.
Eugene.

Hi Guys, I've managed to rig up event triggers for off camera flash by completing the circuit between centre pin and edge contact of my 360fGZ. Easy-peasy, just add some form of switch (I'm talking about when not using pop-up as a control).
What I need to do though is the same sort of thing for triggering my shutter (K-7). I have a type F remote but need to rig up a wired switch to trip the shutter when a set of remote contacts are closed.
The question is, can I set up the same simple switch system to fire the shutter as is used to fire a flashgun? Could I perhap abuse a wired cable switch (CS-205) to this purpose? Or, if I can find a supplier of the CS-205 type jack plug, make my own.
Cheers,
Gene-Stevo.

Hi Stub,
Thanks so much that's that sorted. Before my mate turned up with his gear I'd been shooting in full manual at 1/200. And didn't change settings other than drop ISO and aperture.
As you know, K-7 flash sink is 1/180.
Just tried kit again and everything is hunky dorey at 180th or longer.
Thanks again, now a fan of big lights. I want one (or two).
Cheers,
Gene Stevo.

Hi Folks,
My friend brought his Neeweer 250Di for me to play with. Trouble is the hot shoe mounted trigger wont fire the flash unit (camera is K-7).
The unit will fire via my pop up flash no problem but the supplied trigger won't do anything. Trigger and receiver are in sync as they work fine on my friends Canon (forgive language)and the test button on the trigger works fine.
I've even tried linkig trigger to camera via a supplied cord into my x-sync port with trigger in hot shoe.
I've fiddled with every flash option menu I can find but the bloomin thing wont fire from my K-7.
What's the trick to this, I'm sure it's me and not the kit?
Cheers,
Gene Stevo.
