Anybody used these field monitors? Will it work?

I am currently thinking of purchasing a field monitor such as Lilliput FA1013-NP/H/Y - 10" HDMI monitor
http://www.lilliputdirect.com/hdmi/10-inch-hdmi/lilliput-fa1013
Using the correct HDMI cable will I be able to use this type of unit for
enhanced live view and instant review of captured images?
I am not interested in tethered control of my camera as my K-7 already has beautifully engineered switches, dials etc.
My needs are based on poor eyesight and the difficulty I have using manual focus on the existing 3" screen on the back of the camera (even pressing the info button repeatedly to zoom in normal LV).
Thanks in advance,
Eugene Stevenson.

I have the Lilliput 668GL-70NP.
Worked fine with the K-7.

Thanks for your reply Sledger. Can I just confirm that the review of an image, once shot, will load to this screen without further faffing about.
At the moment the only way for a proper review is to use USB to plug into laptop which then has to be unplugged before another shot can be taken.
Thanks once again for responding,
Cheers,
Eugene.

I happen to have a different HDMI monitor but the process is much the same I think - once you plug it in your back LCD goes dark and the monitor shows the info that would usually be shown there. Just think of it as an external screen, so you can use it for liveview, review etc.
... just another middle-aged guy with a hobby. I have an extreme macro learning site at extreme-macro.co.uk - Pentax-centric, your feedback and comments would be appreciated!

Cheers guys,
Eugene.

Slightly different route could be to use a wireless SD card, (I use the Toshiba Flashair),that will send the images to any suitable device, including smartphone, tablet, laptop, etc. Images are viewed as jpegs and can be downloaded, but will stay secure on the card.

There's no need to remove the card from the camera and you can connect multiple devices simultaneously.

Can't remember what I paid for my card, but typically around £25 for a 32gb class 10. Seen a few negative reviews, but mostly positive. I occasionally have to eject and remount the card in the camera, but I find it works fine most of the time.
