While I was out last night the indicator in the LCD screen showed full battery power, however when I used Liveview I managed one photo then the Battery Depleted message appeared and the camera turned itself off. I could turn the camera back on and use it without liveview.
Is this a known issue?

However you would probably be cheaper with a W90.

I just used the 2 kit lenses and have to say I can't fault anything the camera does.
From in the house with the kids to outside in the p*&sing rain the camera gives brilliant results every time.
