Finally succumbed and bought the 40mm DA ltd for a great price (£162 inc shipping from NYC, BNIB) cant wait to smuggle it into the house; this I am sure you can all understand but at the same time I bought a marine housing (new in sealed box) for my Optio S50 for £50. I'm sure these were listed at around £300 when current, its beautifully engineered and pretty impressive looking with its 14 spring-loaded stainless steel buttons and flourescent green bits and detachable flash diffusion panel and optional wide-angle lenses and under-water strobes and waterproof to 40m... trouble is, I'm not much of a swimmer! How can I stop this habit? Will a stereo kit for the Spotmatic be next?

Seriously though, does anyone have any experience of either?

I just threw up all over my laptop, the music is truly nauseating, cliched and unimaginative. I agree with Mannesty that I dont believe you have cleared copyright. If you haven't just think about someone using your work without YOUR permission. Slideshows are a pain because they remove interactivity, people will just click away to somewhere else.

I was just on the Jessops web site and to my astonishment discovered that they now supply just about every piece of kit Pentax make! special order mind you and loads of it is for 2 discontinued cameras, the 6x7 and the 645.

I wouldn't want to see them go, their Glasgow city centre store has one of their professional departments so that would just leave Calumet here. The staff are always knowledgable and helpful and they are one of only three stockists of 120 film in this city. So much for them closing stores, however, the Photo Optix shop has just become a 'Jessops Outlet' with some real bargains on digi compacts but Lowepro bags seem to be dearer than they are in the regular shop 50 metres away!

Hi Don,

This is a really interesting aproach to what has always been a pretty staid and conservative but nevertheless lucrative market. What is the uptake over the 'cap and gown' stuff, are the students buying into it, are their parents buying into it?

Check out how much any of the picture libraries charge to license an image for a card, quote that and then offer a 'charity discount'. Big charities are big business. I did some work (about a day)for a small charity and was happy with £100.

Don, we dont have such enlightened tax laws here.
