Just found this:

Shame it's not going for production... not sure about the black control on the silver top. But love the pentaprism shape!

I'm not very fond of it at all, much prefer the shape of the standard K10.

Now if they made that one all black with white lettering, that would be awesome!!!

My biggest gripe about the silver material (plastic in this case) is that when it scuffs, or gets dirty, or both, it shows very clearly.

One thing I sorely missed when I moved from my P30n to Pentax DSLR was (and still is) the large viewfinder. I don't care if they have to magnify the image to achieve a large view, but the viewfinder really is more than just a sight through which you aim your lens...

So I guess it would come with a silver grip as well.

And maybe a silver AF-540FGZ too?

And a silver DA* 16-50mm?

be thankful you chose a Pentax. I looked through a Nikon D70 once and almost had a claustrophobia attack.

Very nice, but if Pentax have gone to the trouble to tool up for producing this body then why not release it, unless of course it doesn't work, or is a bit of a no starter like the full frame DSLR.

And as the name has been brought up can someone enlighten me as to the correct pronunciation of "Asahi" I have heard it said so many different ways!
My Names Alan, and I'm a lensaholic.

Cool stuff. I hear the history whispeing in the wind....

But it seems like it appeals mostly to us who used the original stuff and appreciates the retro look for "old times sake".

And hey; SMC Takumar DA 40/2.8......

BTW, is it just me that would like to see a digital back for say; The MX, K1000/KM, LX and so on?...

no, it's not just you

what I'd really like would be a digital back for my Auto 110, but that's even less likely
