Hi Claire .. well the Kx absolutely blows the 3100 away in virtually every important aspect so you have definitely taken a big step up

This policy of not allowing people to discuss other brands does nothing to help Pentax and makes the site feel a little draconian.
People come onto other Pentax sites I visit (which all have an 'open-door' policy to discussing other brands) and want to receive advice from Pentax users on comparisons between a K5 or Kr or Kx etc. and their equivalents in CaNikon land. They generally receive good advice and it may or may not lead to them buying a Pentax.
Of course if no-one is willing/allowed to discuss the pros/cons of other brands in relation to Pentax then they are off to a Canon/Nikon forum where, well you can guess what the advice will be and what they end up buying, not knowing any better.

I'm confused. I though it was the buyer was always right on Ebay ... item didn't arrive, in poor condition, not as described etc. etc. and relatively easy to get their money back ? I was not thinking in geographical terms per se, as the vast majority of the world's population either doesn't have any access to a computer (let alone Ebay) or the money or means to buy anything if they did. It is really only the privileged 'wealthy' countries ... and population-wise that's a relatively small percentage of the world. I guess I'm being pedantic Quote:

The American continents, Europe, Russia, The Far East, Australasia.....I don;t know about the South Pole, but I can't think there are many exclusions!

I have always avoided selling on Ebay as much as possible but I do buy there and from Amazon (which just has to be the easiest purchase and check-out system around - especially of you have registered and can do the One-Click thing. Buying used anything on Amazon (I buy mostly books) is brilliant and the condition of the gear superb and well as being great value.

This is something that we discuss and watch, but for now the T&Cs are quite specific. It will come up for discussion again yet.
