Fabulous set. The second shot has a car in the background which is distracting. Maybe it could be removed?
I can do that for you .. and I won't need the keys

You could pick up the 18-55WR for 50.00 or so (S/H or unboxed); the 50-200WR goes for about 100.00 but isn't awesome according to the - ahem - reviews ; get the Tamron or a Pentax 55-300 straight away
I've had both the Tamron 70-300 and 55-300. The Tamron is an excellent value for money lens (almost unbeatable) and the 1:2 macro is far more than a gimmick but it does exhibit a hefty dose of PF so maybe not the best lens for birding .. or plane spotting.
The 55-300 is better in almost all respects but that is reflected in the price. The Tamron is a great starter lens to see if you like these zooms, it's almost impossible to lose more than a few £ on it !

So many excellent images ! I love the B&W conversions (and I'm NOT a B&W nut like many on here)

Cropped image much better - rule of thirds and all that.

Do you do much PP work ? I think playing with levels or curves could make these pop.

Seemed a good natured comment to me, Steve.

You'll get used to Smeggy's schtick in time!
Ditto.

I think that is true Steve. Seems you have misconstrued his intent.

And I agree with you both, the K7 is a truly excellent camera but the K5 is one huge leap ahead.

DA*300+AFA x1.7 = 510mm on a K5. Taken during Blue Hour. Uncropped.
