To begin with I wasn't overly keen on the red cast - but it grew on me ! Stunning set.

Jamie - in A3 it's best to export the versions to another folder on your computer (or upload to SmugMug, Photobucket, Flikr etc) and then select them for publishing.

#1 is superb. Personally I like both the original AND the cropped versions. having looked at both a few times I think preference comes down to whether you want to print at say 8x10 or square. I think I'd stay with the 8x10 for a print.

I agree with Cabstar & Alien Grove. First thought on seeing #1 was - make a great pano - and that's exactly what AG has done !

#2 is superb.

Agree with #2 being the best of the set - very nice shot. The kingfisher is also technically a good shot - they are very tough little blighters to photograph without using a hide, being very aware and usually moving a little further away once you get within 40-50 yds.

Talking of lens databases have you visited our sister site www.photodo.com which has nothing but lenses, lenses, lenses.....
I've been there but had forgotten about it ... thanks for the reminder, I've made it a favourite now so I don't forget in future !

I have no doubt they are indeed the largest but PU Forum is the by far the friendliest, hands down. There's just no competition.
I really don't think you can categorically make a statement like that. I post on 5 forums and there are friendly and not so friendly people on all of them.

The more forumites there are on any particular site then the greater the chance of receiving friendly and helpful or not so friendly & helpful posts ! The smaller the site often the more cliquey it can be.

PF has some extremely knowledgeable people on there, as does PU, and also quite a number of pros - some of whom don't suffer fools lightly.

Lovely Jamie !

I like #3 the best as there are no indications as to the environment.
