It sounds like you have been very unlucky however as far as the K5 goes it is a fantastic camera .... I love mine so much that I'm now selling my back-up K7 to get another K5.

You only have to read the reviews on all the major sites to know how good this camera is. The 70 is a highly rated lense - something is definitely wrong with your set-up or settings.

Stick with it. Get your refund and get a K5 from a reputable dealer - everyone seems to love SRS and that would be good enough for me. I'm sure once this is sorted you'll love your kit.

Nice shot. The high rise building in front of the bridge looks like it's radioactively glowing though.
Ha Ha - first thing I noticed too. Either over-sharpened or over saturated. I'd try desaturating and desharpening a little to make it less of an eye-magnet.

I really like the shot.

Edit. Oops - I really should read all the comments first shouldn't I Looks better now.
I also like the new shot but think it would be a lot better without the foreground. Just scroll the page down to see what it would be like without it. The sky and harbour are dramatic and enough IMHO.

I prefer number 1 but as someone who rarely uses mono this can be no surprise - it seems such a shame to discard such lovely colour - just my opinion though
Ditto. Word for word.

Same as Smeggy for me #2 & #5 (though is the WB off or is that your PP) ?

I think #1 would have worked better in landscape and I like the last two as well but think you need to bring out the shadows a little more.

Lovely series Mike.

#1,3,5 & 6 stand out.

Curious as to why you'd take the K7 0ver the K5 though (I also have both) - the extra DR of the K5 and especially the ISO when the light starts to fade makes it an obvious choice for me. In fact the K7 so frustrated me with noise in murky conditions last week I'm going to put it up for sale and get another K5.

I have no idea who any of them are ! *Sighs*

Well gone are the days of Uni gigs, Lene Lovich, Psychodelic Furs and the like
