Sorry Stefan but that simply isn't true at all. Less information there may be but there's plenty to play around with - especially from the K5 and I would assume the Kr too.
RAW are files develop so you can do your own developing at home behind the PC.
JPG is purely aimed as a final product, there are no thoughts behind it for developing.
A Pro I know only shoots in jpg - and he is an AP shooter - but still does plenty of PP when needed.
JPG photo's are compressed files that cuts away information that most devices can not display and it's only 8bit, there is a lot of information that isn't in the JPG anymore compared to RAW files.
In fact even in a basic P&S often it's possible to perform in camera PP, we know in DSLR's a lot more is possible so therefore manufacturers of cameras and software are not saying that a jpg is a finished product. It is a convenient product; easily transferable, space saving, easily read - but that doesn't define it as a 'finished product' even though we know it's far less manipulable than RAW.

I think I'll stick to jpg for a while - my grandad always used to say don't try to run before you can walk.
JPG is really only meant as a final image and not one you can edit.
And editing RAW is easier then JPG as well because you've more data.
So it's about the balance you want, if you want to have the freedom to tweak your images to get them perfect then RAW is the better one.
Picasa is also not really meant to edit RAW photo's there are better free alternatives.

This shot just posted was taken with a Tamron 90 & Viv x2 macro TC : link
However if you want to use it for distant subjects then you shouldn't buy a macro converter, rather the Tamron x1.4 is excellent or for more money the Pentax AFA x1.7 is also superb. You retain AF with the AFA but only after you MF to within the approximate distance of the subject - so it can also be used to convert MF lenses to 'semi-AF' !
Most people accept that a x2 TC will lead to more degradation than a x1.4 or the x1.7 though sometimes it's not that visible unless pixel-peeping.

Let's be honest, they don't actually weigh much anyway do they ? There are no heavy lenses there. If it were me I'd take all four and leave those I don't plan on using in the next few hours hidden in the hotel room !

Sean - my mistake - my K7 has 30k, the K5 has around 15k.

The biggest problem I've had with waist, bum, reporter type bags is easy access when you want to change lenses. The sling type bags work brilliantly in this regard as you don't even have to remove the bag, or fold over a flap, to change a lense and access is simple and convenient.
I may upgrade to the 350 AW as I could get two more lenses in and an iPad / notebook. But the temptation is always to put in more than you need !
When going on a shoot, in the 200AW I have (or similar) :
K5, K7, DA*300, 50-150, 43 Ltd, 17-50, Metz 50 (this lays on top of the K5 with attached 50-150 with a small cloth in between). The other pockets can take all the substantial amount of bits and pieces I need and there is an integral raincover stowed in the base.
When I arrive on site I use two Black Rapid singles (I prefer these to the double harness as I can always take one off if I wish) and then the bag is accessible for lense changes (as otherwise the Metz would get in the way).
Tamrac make some nice bags like these too.
