Billingham

I'm thinking of buying a new shoulder-bag just for the K5 + DA*16-50 + DA*50-135 + AF540FGZ and my eyes are on Billingham now because crumpler don't make one that i like and neither does Lowe.

So i'm curious of some of you have or have tried the f/1.4 bag because that one seems to be just larger enough.

I too love a good Billingham Stefan
The only downside I see from this one is it doesn't appear to have a grab handle, which can be handy at times. Judging from all the Pics on the Billingham Site, I cannot see one on it anyway,that might be a bind? Someone correct me if I'm wrong? I would personally go for a Hadley Pro, which are just that little bit slimmer I think and fit to the Side of your body better...
I like the look of the "07" series but the cost is excessive even for the small one in my opinion

The Hadley Pro is the perfect choice, an all-weather bag that is slim and unobtrusive, plenty roomy enough for camera and several lenses plus accessories and has a design that has no wasted space.

I have been using an enormous Billingham bag for the past twenty or so years. Its actually too big because when I really fill it up its too heavy to carry!

However, it still looks as good as new whereas my three year old Lowe is starting to look a bit grubby and tatty.

Indeed the 7's looks very nice, i also like the darker colour of them, they aren't that flashy.
Also thanks for the photo's that was really handy but still like to know from first hand if it will fit the gear i named.
It's quite hard to find billingham's over here you see so can't try it out

The hadly pro looks also good but i like the single larger pocket at the front to be honest.

That's why i'm looking at Billingham

I also have a huge crumpler bag that's to heavy when fully packed and it's too big to carry around in the city or to concerts.

What about this bag?
I know not a Billingham... but it does fit to my needs.

Thats close to my my current fave Stefan I don't own it however, I like the Retrospective 10, I would think it big enough?

I think the 20 is a bit square looking and there would be a lot of space left at the top of the bag?

Your 50-135 is only about half that...

Maybe but don't forget that the flash is actually bigger than the DA*50-135...
I know it sounds silly but the flash was actually the problem with most bags i tested

On the right of that pic above is a 70-200 AFSVR, I think your'e gear would fit but if your'e not sure maybe the 20 would be better?
That said a D300 is a lot bigger than a K5.
Flash on the other side and the 50-135 on the left...?

Might work but the cmaera would than hang in the air with the DA*16-50 attached resting on the DA*50-135 with just the grip... don't really like the thought of that.

Which too big i think

30's definately too big for a light walkaround kit I think1 The temptation will be to fill it and then the comfort angle just goes out of the window,you'd end up carrying two bodies Stefan, Well at least I know I would! You are corrrect that the 20 is only deeper height wise, since the bags expand a bit IE they are soft could you not turn the K5 90%? the width of a K5 Can't be any more than a 1DS, that way it could just go to the bottom of the bag? Am I being daft here?

I have a Billingham Hadley Pro and I think you'd struggle to fit those lenses and strobe into it. It's not made for big gear, in my opinion. Perfect for an LX and a couple of primes though!

We put lenses and flashguns and more like that into our Hadley Pro bags and have no problem, so that's a bit mystifying.
